Cardiology

A hearty environment at the SPC – we offer comprehensive cardiology services that are specially tailored to the needs of patients with a spinal cord injury and other cardiological conditions. In addition to preventative examinations and regular check-ups, we provide the following services:

• Diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases
• Imaging and assessment of coronary arteries using cardiac CT
• Imaging of circulatory disorders, myocarditis and cardiomyopathy cases such as tumours, sarcoidosis and amyloidosis using cardiac MRI
• Holter ECG monitor
• 24 h blood pressure measurement
• Echocardiography
• Transoesophageal echocardiography

In all of these areas, we work closely with our Consulting Physician for Cardiology Dr Marco Albanese.
