Centro self-service restaurant
Our self-service restaurant offers you and your guests a fresh and indulgent selection of dishes every day.Our offer
There are two daily lunch menus, an extensive salad and vegetable buffet, snacks, sandwiches, and sweet treats.
In the evening you have a choice of an evening menu, a weekly pasta dish, and a selection of snacks.A wide range of drinks, coffees, and home-made smoothies.
A choice of home-made fruit and vegetable tarts on one day a week (rotating between Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
Dessert buffet on Sunday afternoons.

Once a month we create a special themed buffet and we regularly surprise you with a wide range of special campaigns.

Are you thinking of visiting the Swiss Paraplegic Centre, organising an event with your company or association, or planning a small family celebration?
We have extensive experience of catering for events of all sizes (banquets from 10 to 1000 guests) and know how to create the right atmosphere for any occasion. You have the choice of the auditorium, the meeting hall with Restaurant Centro, or the sports hall. We will be happy to help you select your menu and wines. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any special requirements. We will turn your event into a personal experience.

Sport in the SPC
The sports offer on campus for guests and employees.Indoor swimming pool
The spacious state-of-the-art indoor swimming pool is used for therapy and staff sport, as well as by third parties (clubs) and the general public. The pool and individual lanes may be reserved at certain times on certain days of the week.
- Swimming pool: 25 m x 16 m (720 m3), 6 lanes
- Water depth: 1.8 m (across the pool)
- Water temperature: 28 degrees Celsius
- Therapy pool with height-adjustable lifting platform (34°C)
- Wheelchair accessible with patient lifter

If you have a valid doctor's certificate, you can also pay to use the SPC indoor pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm.
Outside these times, the SPC indoor pool may only be used if booked in advance or as part of a group that has already been registered.
The pool will be closed all day on the following bank holidays:
January 1st, August 1st, December 24th and 25th.
Sunday opening times apply on all other national holidays. Opening times on regional holidays are the same as the usual opening times on the day of the week in question.Dates of any other closures will be announced at least 14 days in advance on this page and on a notice displayed at the entrance to the indoor pool.

Holders of a concessionary annual pass may also use the indoor pool when it is open to the public.
Please note that certain partner communities around Lake Sempach offer reduced-price admission tickets. Further information is available from the relevant local council or from the SPC Reception on telephone +41 41 939 54 54.
Sports arena
The renovation and extension of the sports facilities have provided the best possible preconditions for wheelchair athletes and able-bodied athletes to train and compete. The sports arena comprises the following facilities:
- Outdoor athletics facilities with eight lanes
- Timing tower
- Football pitch: 100 m x 64 m
- Tennis courts
- Spacious tent providing weather protection

SPC sports hall
The triple-sized sports hall can be divided down the middle and has an extendable stand. The sports hall can be used for any type of event and is suitable for multifunctional use.

SPC tennis courts
The courts are open from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm, or dusk, from April to October (weather-dependent) .
The courts must be booked in advance.

Roller training hall
The roller training hall next to the sports arena by the Swiss Paraplegic Centre is open to all athletes with a spinal cord injury. This is where top-ranking, recreational, and up-and-coming athletes train under one roof all year round.
The training facilities opened in December 2019 and offer:
- Training rollers for 20 racing wheelchairs
- Training rollers for 12 hand bikes
- Performance measurement station
- Changing rooms and toilets
- Two massage beds
- Wall bars
- Workshop for adjusting equipment independently and repairing training equipment
Admission
The roller training hall is available to all athletes with a spinal cord injury. Admission is by badge only. Please contact the Swiss Paraplegics Association (by sending an e-mail to spv@spv.ch) to apply for an admission badge.

The roller training hall is a place of encounters for wheelchair athletes.
