    Studies of business administration (University of St. Gallen) with a doctorate degree. Subsequently worked at the Union Bank of Switzerland (now UBS) and in consultancy. Since 1996 Professor of business administration (area of expertise: public management), since 1998 director of the Institute for Systemic Management and Public Governance (IMP-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen.

    Rural engineering degree ETH from the Department of Rural, Surveying and Environmental Engineering (ETH Zurich). Since 2007 Partner and Managing Director of LEP Consultants AG, Zurich. From 1996 to 2008 worked at the ETH Institute for Spatial and Landscape Development (IRL), from 2007 to 2008 division head for Landscape and Environmental Planning, prior to that, project manager and deputy project manager. Since 2015 guest lecturer at the Kunming University of Science and Technology (KMUST). Since 2009 registered planner in the Swiss Register of Engineers, Architects and Technicians (REG). Since 2004 external expert of Sino-Swiss Management Training Program of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Since 2002 member of  Swiss-Chinese Society (Zurich).

    Studied English and Romance languages and literature at the University of Freiburg and received a teaching diploma lic. phil. I. Since 2007, managing director at Josi J. Meier Foundation, Lucerne. Over 15 years’ experience as secondary school teacher for English and French at the Cantonal Teachers’ Training College in Lucerne, Cantonal school in Sursee and Engelberg Abbey School. From 2007 to 2015, Cantonal Council. Since 2015, National Council member of Christian Democratic People’s Party of Switzerland (CVP) and member of Science, Education and Culture Committee (WBK). Member of the University Council of Lucerne.

  • Prof. Jürg Steiger, MD

    Medical studies at the University of Basel, 1985 state examination, 1989 doctorate degree, 1998 Habilitation, 1999 full professorship. Since 2000 chief physician for nephrology and transplantation immunology at the University Hospital of Basel, since 2013 head of the Department of Medicine and chief physician. Further trainings, among others, at Swiss clinics and at the Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Hospital, Boston. Member and president of  numerous Swiss and European transplant and nephrology boards, board member of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences, and National Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation until January 2017. President of the Central Ethics Committee, Foundation Board Gottfried and Julia Bangerter-Rhyner Foundation, President of the Swiss Organ Living-Doner Register, President of the Subcommittee: Determination of death in the context of organ transplantation and preparation for organ removal.

Since 2009, Director and Chair of the Department of Health Sciences and Health Policy at the University of Lucerne. Director of the ICF Research Branch. Foreign Associate of the Institute of Medicine (now called National Academy of Medicine), USA, member of numerous scientific associations.

    Training for a nurse, studies of business administration toward a degree in Master of Public Health at Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich, Germany (LMU). Ward manager in several clinics, project manager at Bavarian Research Cooperation for Public Health (Munich), manager of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at LMU. Member of the Foundation Board  and Investment Committee of Swiss Paraplegic Group’s Pension Fund. Management member of the Department of Health Sciences and Health Policy at the University of Lucerne.
